Loss of a Routine!

Image
The biggest loss one can experience is the loss of a routine. All the losses in life can be narrowed down to the loss of a routine, either a routine with work , loved ones or self. What we mourn is not the subject/object but the experiences we had with them.  Loss can begin from a minor change in daily routine like giving away your personal “me time”for someone or your hobbies or giving up any thing you cherished and were used to in some form or the other.  So now the most important thing that i keep closest to my heart is my routine. Losing it is a risk i cannot fathom. My advice to anyone who feels lost right now is to make a rock solid routine for yourself. Even if you start small with a 5 min routine in a day like a glass of warm water or listening to a bhajan/song in the morning or sleeping on a certain time daily or your skin care, will work. Just find your thing, fit it in your day and wallah you got a routine !  Until next time

The Tests of Life !!

Image
How many times in life in life we think to ourselves that this is the final lesson . We have learnt it all there is to learn. Thought that at 17 , at 27 and now at 34, i have arrived at the topmost peak of understanding and learning. But life has a way of humbling us with another curve ball when we just started hitting sixes at a straight one. From the experiences and experiments over the last few years i have come to accept this truth humbly that lessons will keep coming, one or more in each semester of life and after hard work and self study of our own selves we will pass even when chances seem to be slim. So, do not worry about finishing the tests, just keep at it , keep doing what life demands and you will arrive at the graduation stage of life at the end of it all. Until next time.

All i wanna say that they don’t really care about us!

Image
If your mind ever wonders if someone cares about you or not- the answer most of the times is that they don’t. Because if they did , you wouldn’t be doubting it in the first place. Of course, there are some exceptional situations as well. But here we talk about the norm. If someone leaves a doubt in your mind that means there is fire somewhere and hence, your mind is detecting the smoke.  So do not waste time in this debate. It is what it feels like. Trust your gut. Trust your instinct. It is right. They do not care about you.  Now what you do with that information is upto your discernment.

Some people are inherently bad. Period !

Image
A thing with kind empathetic people is to give everyone benefit of doubt. To understand people and where they are coming from. Their traumas and struggles but in light of many past experiences i have to the conclusion that some people are inherently bad human beings. You can justify using psychology that so and so reason has led them to be like this. But reality is we are adults and its our own responsibility to heal our traumas and learn decent way of behaving. However, some people can’t even be explained by psychology as they choose to be nasty. And choices are to be owned.  So next time you see someone hurting , disrespecting you and anyone over and over without any trigger and provocation , know that they are what i call “inherently bad” .

The thrill of late night horror movies

Image
As long as i remember i have been a fan of horror movies, horror series and anything remotely scary. No major jump scare needed, just a good catchy storyline. The best part of watching a horror movie lies in the environment I create while watching it. It gives best effect when it’s seen at night, lights off, with some food and something to drink in the vicinity, getting in the blanket with good sound quality for max effect. After long time I created ambient environment for a horror movie and believe me it was super fun. So, next time you plan for a horror movie take my advice and replicate this style.  Until next time.

Love Yourself Some More

Image
Everywhere and every time in our lives we are taught to respect others and be kind to others. I know despite this most people are unkind to those around them - unkind to humans and animals alike. But some of those rare people who are kind usually are over giving and super empaths who will care and love everything, from a moth to even monsters. In this process to care of others and be empathetic, they usually sometimes miss out on being empathetic and kind to the most important person in this world - Themselves. Hence, it becomes necessary to check on yourself every now and then, are you kind to yourself ? And if not ? What’s stopping you?  Charity begins at home. If you cannot love yourself and if you cannot give yourself the grace that you freely give others then you are self exploitative at the very least. So do yourself a favour - embrace yourself - your kind heart and wonderful body. Thank them for supporting you daily to help you lead a wonderful and deeply engaging life...

Being myself but even better !

Image
Life can surprise us with unexpected plot twists. I have had such a plot twist in my otherwise perfectly not so perfect life. Somedays i woke up and did nit recognise myself. This woman looked life me, felt like me but was still very different in the things she was doing. New things, new experiences. It is not like I never had new experiences, in-fact i always have them but this time it all was so different. A novice is how i looked at myself. I was getting stronger day by day and softer at the same time. I was loving and losing all at the same time. I was reading and practicing and laughing and sobbing , all at the same time. Too many responsibilities and too much freedom all at the same time. This new me was waiting to germinate by breaking open the hard shell around her. The more i tried , the difficult it became. Until i stopped pushing hard and accepted “It is what it is”. I think that was the moment , the very moment i was free. Free from the shackles of a forced narrative. ...

My Lovely Experience of a Grand Christmas in Shillong

Image
Some places don’t just welcome you—they embrace you. Shillong did exactly that during Christmas, turning my visit into one of the most joyful and heart-warming experiences I’ve had in a long time. Christmas in Shillong feels alive. The air itself carries celebration—cool, crisp, and filled with laughter, music, and glowing lights. Everywhere I looked, there was a sense of togetherness that felt genuine and effortless. One of the most beautiful moments of my trip was visiting the church. Stepping inside, surrounded by prayers, hymns, and softly glowing candles, I felt an unexpected calm settle within me. It wasn’t just about religion—it was about faith, hope, and a collective gratitude that filled the space. That quiet moment stayed with me long after I stepped out. The celebration continued with a lovely Christmas dinner, warm food and warm conversations making the evening feel complete. There’s something special about sharing a festive meal in a place where people truly know how to ce...

My Magical Day at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

Image
There are few experiences in life that make you pause, take a deep breath, and just feel connected to the world around you. My recent visit to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary was one of those rare, soul-refreshing experiences. Even before reaching the sanctuary, the journey itself felt like stepping into a dream. A soft morning fog hovered over the fields and roads, creating a misty, ethereal atmosphere. The pleasant weather, cool and crisp, made every moment feel alive, as if nature was welcoming me gently into its embrace. One of the first surprises of the day was spotting a Kurkure-eating goat—a small, funny, unexpected moment that made me laugh and reminded me how life in the wild has its quirks and surprises. Then came the moment I had been dreaming about: seeing the one-horned rhinoceros in its natural habitat. I watched it move with quiet strength and grace, completely unbothered by my presence. It was humbling and awe-inspiring at the same time—a reminder of the power and ser...
