Eat Your Greens – Your Body Will Thank You! 🌿

Image
Since childhood, we’ve all heard that familiar line:  “Eat your vegetables.”  But the truth is, leafy greens aren’t just side dishes on your plate—they’re powerful medicine disguised as food. When you look closely at what a bowl of spinach, kale, methi, amaranth, or moringa brings to your body, it feels like nature’s prescription for health. These greens are rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, and a spectrum of vitamins—A, C, and K among them. They don’t just fill your stomach, they  fuel your cells . Beyond their nutrient density, greens work quietly in the background to keep your gut running smoothly. Their natural fiber not only aids digestion but also feeds the trillions of microbes that form your gut microbiome—a system now known to influence everything from immunity to mental health. And speaking of the mind, folate-rich greens give your brain a boost too. Regular intake supports memory, sharpens focus, and even helps balance mood. It’s fascinating how something as hu...

Boiled, Black and Beautiful – Cracking Open the Taste of My Childhood

Image
Some foods aren’t just about taste — they are memories, comfort, and little treasures of childhood. For me, one of those has always been  shinghada . I still remember those boiled ones, their shells turning black, almost mysterious, yet hiding a soft, earthy sweetness inside. Cracking them open felt like a small adventure, and eating them never needed an occasion. It wasn’t just about winter or fasting days; shinghada was simply a part of life — a snack that made me smile, any time of the year. The lady who sold shinghada would shout in society “shinghade lelo” and that would immediately lifted my spirits and brightened my eyes.  There was something grounding about sitting with a pile of them, peeling one after another, and savoring their flavor. Simple, unpretentious, but so full of warmth. Even today, that taste instantly takes me back to my childhood — to moments of joy that didn’t need festivals, celebrations, or special reasons. Shinghada taught me that happiness o...

Hey you 👉🏽Focus on What Matters 📖✨

Image
When I picked up  Focus on What Matters , I wasn’t just looking for another book to pass the time. I was searching for clarity. Life often feels like a blur—work, expectations, endless noise—and somewhere in between, the things that truly matter get pushed aside. As I turned the pages, I found myself slowing down. The book didn’t overwhelm me with heavy theory; instead, it felt like a gentle conversation. It reminded me to pause, to look at where my time and energy really go. I realized how often I pour myself into things that don’t add value, while the things that bring peace, joy, and growth sit quietly in the background, waiting for me. There were moments when I had to stop reading—not because I lost interest, but because a sentence hit too close. I found myself reflecting on my relationships, my priorities, even my daily routines. It felt less like reading a book and more like holding a mirror to my own life. What stayed with me most was its simplicity: life isn’t about doing e...

A Tangy Love Affair 🍋✨

Image
I’ve always had a soft corner for sour things—the sharp tang of tamarind, the zest of lemon, the playful bite of raw mango. There’s something about that burst of flavor that wakes up not just the tongue, but the whole mood. Cooking with sourness feels like painting with bold strokes. It’s not subtle, it’s not shy—it declares itself. And perhaps that’s why I adore pulihora , the traditional tamarind rice. A dish so simple, yet so full of character. The tamarind paste, simmered with curry leaves, green chilies, and a crackle of mustard seeds, transforms plain rice into something vibrant and festive. Every bite is a reminder of balance—how sourness, when embraced, doesn’t overpower but uplifts. For me, pulihora isn’t just food. It’s comfort. It’s childhood memories of festivals, temple prasad, and the joy of sourness done right. It carries the wisdom that life, like food, needs its tangy notes to be truly complete. Because sometimes, it’s the sour moments —in taste and in life—th...

Cheers to another year of awesomeness🎊👯‍♂️

Birthdays are reminder of awesomeness !! ✨🪄  Birthdays are so special. Don’t you think so ? Not for the cake, not for the partayyy. Neither for the gifts nor for the wishes but for serving as a reminder to ones successful role play . Birthdays are our chance to look at ourselves for all the good and bad , successes and failures . For love and laughter. For cries and sorrows. For lessons and wisdom. It tells us flawlessly flawed we are and that’s the beauty of our being. Living our lives with our own quirks. Enjoying our life to fullest , taking that risk. Going one more step or one more mile when it gets hard . Clapping for our never give up attitude. For soaring high and unfurling the victory flag on moments that felt hard and the even impossible to conquer. But I did it and that too with grace and wisdom. Made my own way through rough patches and set a roadmap for myself to follow. Created my life on my own terms. Not blindly following people like herd but being my own person th...

Rainy Slasher movie night ! 🫣

Image
Whodunit   Rainy days are so precious for various reasons . Whether it’s a long drive with soothing music in the car or eating pyaaz ke pakode with strong adrakwali chai. Life is so happy and joyous when enjoying KK’s music playing on the speaker or whether it is feeling the breeze against your skin. All is so well. So fine . However, this time around I decided to go a different route. I chose a Slasher movie as my companion on this otherwise heavy downpour -  Fear street: Prom queen. Prom, something we Indian kids never experience in our school lives but that doesn’t dampen our spirits to watch a good prom themed movie. And when it’s combined with slasher theme it’s what we call “ sone pe suhaaga” . So while I enjoy this night with exciting scare in my heart watching my pick of whodunit , sending love to everyone out there .  Saiyonara for tonight

Roses: Nature’s Therapy for the Mind 🌹✨

Image
There’s a reason roses have been cherished for centuries—not just for their beauty, but for the way they make us feel. The simple act of seeing a rose, inhaling its fragrance, or even placing a few fresh petals in water can shift our mood almost instantly. Science backs this timeless wisdom. Rose aroma has been shown to reduce anxiety, lower cortisol, and gently lift mood. Its fragrance stimulates the limbic system—the emotional center of the brain—creating a sense of calm and comfort. But beyond chemistry, roses speak the language of the heart. Their colors spark emotions: Red inspires passion. Sign of love. Pink evokes gentleness. Sign of care. White carries clarity. Sign of peace. Yellow radiates cheer and optimism. Sign of friendship  Whether in your home as fresh blooms, in a calming rose tea, or as rose oil in your skincare, roses remind us that healing can be soft, fragrant, and deeply nurturing. Always great to receive it from someone/anyone. If no one ...
