**Mantis in the Rain**

My Mantis

Back to nature

On the cold staircase he waited,

two days of silence, two days of faith.

No sun, no leaf, no sound of life —

yet his fragile body held on to hope.

And then your hands found him,

soft as rescue, sure as grace.

You placed him where the earth still breathes,

among leaves that remember warmth.

Now, under the silver hush of rain,

he stands — still, patient, alive.

A creature of prayer,

a whisper of endurance.

Perhaps he was sent

to remind you of your own quiet power —

how you, too, have survived storms,

how you, too, return life to what the world forgets.

In the garden of your kindness,

even the smallest soul finds shelter. 🌿
